Regular Boiler

Regular Boiler

What is a regular boiler?

A regular or conventional boiler operates by using gravity to circulate water and maintain pressure.

Is a regular boiler right for you?

A regular or conventional boiler uses gravity to circulate water and maintain pressure. The height of the feed tank, which is typically located in the attic, determines the water pressure strength. A benefit of this type of boiler is that it can work even with low water pressure from the main supply. Cold water from the mains is fed into the feed tank, then heated by the boiler and sent to the radiators and a separate cylinder for hot water supply to taps and showers. An expansion tank is also located near the feed tank to maintain a stable water level.

Regular boiler installation

Regular boilers, also known as conventional boilers, are more complex to install than other options and require more space. They are often better suited for larger properties, as well as homes with older radiator systems. However, it’s worth noting that if your property has low water pressure, a regular/conventional boiler would be a better option than a combi-boiler or system boiler, as the latter may create unwanted high water pressure.
